The Kaarta Sports logo is the African lion.  There are certain qualities and characteristics of lions that we like to consider – for yourself and your “pride.” Take a few moments to explore these:

1. PROTECTIVE

You don’t have to watch very many Animal Planet shows about lions to see how very protective they are – of territory, themselves, their young, and so forth. As far as being more lion-like, what do you need to be protective of? Protective of yourself? Your spouse? Your children? Your money? Your job? Your business? Your colleagues? Your position? Your beliefs? So, exactly what do you need to be protective of?  At Kaarta Sports we are protectors of healthy and positive habits.  Without a healthy body, mind, and spirit we are dead meat in this Savannah we call life.  Take control of your body before your body takes control of you!

2. FEARLESS

Being lion-like means you are brave and courageous. Naturally, you choose when and where to be brave vs. timid, courageous vs. cowardly. We all make choices every day. Look for opportunities today and every day where you can be brave. It does make a difference, both for you and for others.  Be brave…  Set yourself a goal…  Run a 5K.  Complete the NY Marathon.  Climb Kilimanjaro.  Cycle a century.  Complete a triathlon.  Learn self-defense.  There is always a reward when we perform a brave act!

3. BATTLE

Lions will fight when need be. They don’t pick fights but because they are willing to protect their food, their mates, their territory and so forth, they will fight if necessary. What is the one thing you are willing to fight for?  What is it for you? Really, what are you willing to fight for?  Are you ready to fight for your spot on the school football team?  Are you prepared to fight for those pounds you’ve been “talking” about shedding?  Are you willing to fight for your professional career as a tennis player?  Are you ready to go to battle?!

4. HUNTERS

What does your lion heart hunt for?  At Kaarta Sports we believe in hunting for the following:

• Bravery to pursue what really makes you happy.
• Bravery to ignore what others feel is successful and discover your own success.
• Bravery to challenge yourself to make dramatic changes in the path of your personal life that will also change your career…and vice versa.

What are you hunting? Just like a lion roaming the Savannah, you may or may not find it, but you hunt regardless.

5. PRIDE

Always have a feeling of honor and self-respect; a sense of personal worth.  In order to stay positive, no matter how many crazy turns life may take, we need to see ourselves as being part of a pride a family, a team, a group, an association, a community, or whatever you might call it. We have to deliberately assemble our group – small or large – that will assist us in our – if I can use this word – survival. Lions aren’t part of prides for no reason. There’s a reason. You need a “pride” of your own if you are to “survive” in your positive place.
